30 Days of Socks

This is Part I of a three-part project to culminate with performance involving movement and mixed media.

The first part, that started without warning, ignited the next two parts of the project.

I purchased a pair of socks for a work contest. The contest, sponsored by Rockchippers, consisted on wearing the same piece of clothing from the brand for thirty days. The implied assumption was that the item, made of merino wool, could be worn thirty days without harvesting bacteria (meaning that they wouldn’t stink).

Seven days after wearing my piece of clothing (the socks) the item caught an aroma. After debating whether I should keep wearing the socks or not I decided to keep them on (without washing them) for full thirty days.
